Economic abuse impacts the lives of most, if not all, survivors of domestic violence. Bradley Angle’s Economic Empowerment Program helps survivors rebuild their financial security. Our services include:

Matched Savings Accounts

Bradley Angle’s matched savings program matches every dollar you save. Save $500 and we’ll match it with $500, giving you $1,000. Program eligibility requires a set time commitment, and the maximum match is $500.

Other Resources

  • One-on-one financial advocacy

  • Free access to a financial planner

  • Community Financial Know How Clinics

  • Resources about taxes, budgeting, money management, credit repair, and more!

Individual Development Accounts

NOTE: The IDA program is temporarily unavailable due to a funding shortage at Casa of Oregon. We will update this page as soon as we learn that the situation has changed.

Multiply your savings up to 5 to 1 through an Individual Development Account (IDA). To qualify Bradley Angle IDAs must be used for a specific purpose & must be a resident of Multnomah or Washington County: contact EEP for more details.

IDAs are made possible through the Assets for Independence Act, Oregon IDA 75% Tax Credit, Neighborhood Partnerships, and CASA of Oregon. Applicants need to be an Oregon resident, have earned income (limits apply), or be receiving TANF, SNAP, or SSI/SSDI.

Complete our Making Cent$ course and work with an advocate to get to your savings goal twice as fast. *Making Cent$ is available for current Bradley Angle Participants.

Financial Know-How Course

Financial abuse occurs in 98% of abusive relationships and is the number one reason victims stay in or return to abusive relationships*. Financial Know-How Groups provide an opportunity for survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence to learn about and discuss topics related to financial well-being. Meetings are held virtually from 6PM and are 45 to 60 minutes depending on registration.

You do not need to be a Bradley Angle participant to join. Please note: joining this course does not automatically enroll you as a Bradley Angle program participant.
