Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence are approximately 4 times more likely to acquire a sexually transmitted infection from their partner, and that includes HIV. Individuals living with HIV are more likely to experience Intimate Partner Violence. Bradley Angle Advocates are trained to support survivors who are concerned about their HIV status. Support can look like: advocacy, connection to HIV testing, support in access resources for HIV positive survivors, safety planning, medication management, sexual health negotiation skills and support group curriculum inclusive of information about HIV and sexual health.
