  • Does your partner control who you see, where you go, or what you do?
  • Does your partner keep you from seeing family and friends?
  • Does your partner keep you from getting or keeping a job or from attending school?
  • Does your partner threaten to “out” you at work or to your family or friends?
  • Does your partner control your money?
  • Is your partner the only one with access to financial resources and important info like account numbers?
  • Has your partner intentionally caused property damage for which you are responsible?
  • Has your partner’s behavior ever caused you to be evicted from your housing?
  • Has your partner prevented you from having your name on a lease, rental agreement or mortgage?
  • Does your partner physically abuse you or threaten to?
  • Does your partner threaten to harm or take away your children?
  • Are you afraid to leave your children alone with your partner?
  • Has your partner forced you to have sex when you don’t want to or to do things sexually that you’re uncomfortable with?
