Thank you to everyone who participated in Women of Wonder Day! We raised almost $14,000 through your help and donations. Special thanks to Andy Mangels and the folks at Excalibur Comics for another great event!
Women of Wonder Day is a bicoastal event with its home-base in Portland, Oregon. The brainchild of local activist and author Andy Mangels, Women of Wonder Day is a charity art auction built on Wonder Woman’s legacy and the heroism of domestic violence survivors. The free, all-ages event includes local and national artists signing comics and special edition prints , a silent auction of original art contributed by more than 300 of the world’s top artists, costumed super-heroes and science fictioncharacters on-site, raffles and prizes, rare memorabilia, and more. The premier pieces of art—representing superheroines from Rogue to Buffy—are featured on Ebay during the week leading up to the event.
